Overview
The material is designed primarily to absorb unwanted high frequencies. The unique pressure sensitive properties also make it great for sandwiching between panels. After application the material fills the gaps between the surfaces. Sound Absorber can also be used behind speakers or inside a bass enclosures as a diffuser. The ‘egg box’ form on the surface absorbs 30-40% more sound than plain material.
Key features
30% to 40% Greater Sound Absorption: The contoured “egg box” shape provides a significantly higher surface area than standard flat foam, allowing it to capture and dissolve harsh airborne high frequencies, wind rush, and tire roar much more effectively. Speaker Back-Wave Deflection: When placed directly behind mid-bass door speakers, it acts as an acoustic diffuser to disrupt and scatter rear-cone sound waves. This stops back-wave phase cancellation, resulting in cleaner, tighter, and harder-hitting midbass. Progressive Memory Interpanel Padding: The polyurethane core features specialized memory characteristics. When sandwiched between a plastic door card and the steel inner frame, it compresses flat into tight spots but expands to fill open voids. This applies continuous, soft mechanical pressure that permanently silences loose factory trim clips and rattling wiring harnesses.
